A newly opened Centre of Excellence laboratory in Wetherby, Yorkshire, required a full laboratory fit-out designed to balance theory-based learning with integrated practical workstations. The brief emphasised creating a space that was both visually cohesive and highly functional, with designated clean zones to support efficient, organised workflows.

Solution
Unistow designed, manufactured, and installed a comprehensive laboratory package featuring perimeter benching with double-fitted units beneath sinks, mobile units with detachable plinths to prevent spillages, a grey epoxy resin sink with an integrated draining board and lever-handle taps, a drench shower, and custom unit handles. The design also incorporated tall fitted tray and drawer storage units for optimised organisation. Green edge-banding and wall accents were used to clearly highlight the clean zones.

The result is an aesthetically striking and practical laboratory environment that maximises space and aligns perfectly with the client’s design vision. Carcasses in Stone Grey, Graphite Grey doors, and Mamba Green edge-banding create a distinctive and modern colour scheme that reinforces the centre’s identity and focus on excellence.
