laboratory for Egham Secondary School with a strong focus on flexibility and collaboration. The aim was to create a dynamic learning environment that could easily adapt to group work, pair-based activities and individual study.

Solution

One of the rooms required a fully bespoke worktop with a unique shape, featuring mounted gas and electrical housing and under-counter double-door storage. To support smaller group projects, half-moon mobile tables
were also included, offering teachers complete control over how the space is used.

Using precision manufacturing and expert installation, Unistow ensured all surfaces were seamlessly connected
throughout the space. One of the rooms also featured an Egham Secondary School

L-shaped worktop designed to house integrated water, gas
and electrical services — providing full utility access while maintaining maximum workspace.

• A uniquely shaped collaboration work surface using Trespa® TopLab® worktops
• Custom-fitted cabinetry to support group-based activities
• Mobile tables, also finished in Trespa® TopLab®, designed for reconfiguration based on teaching style and class size
• One of the most striking features was the multi-jointed, multi-coloured Trespa® surface, which added both functional versatility and vibrant visual appeal.

With its adaptable design and high-quality finish, the completed laboratory now offers a bright, functional environment that encourages creativity, collaboration and scientific exploration.
